St. Joseph’s Branch Recently received a plaque commemorating its 65th Anniversary with UCWLC. This organization is actively involved in many facets of the church organization. Some of the activities include changing of the candles in front of the icon of Mother Mary, changing & cleaning of the altar clothes throughout the year, assisting in the cleaning of the church several times, visiting the members who are ill or shut in. Some of the fundraising activities have included teas, fall suppers, brunches & soup & sandwich events. We support fundraising events and charities in Winnipeg. We also donate to the home of hope in Ukraine, as well as helping with the education of three University students in Ukraine. The League is a wonderful group of ladies who truly believe that their work for the church is very honourable & valued. Many lasting friendships have been forged through this organization.
